One of the many things that attracted me to this business was that I didn’t have to put up much money to start. At the time it was a measly $50 (it’s gone up a whole $5 since), so I paid my sign up fee and launched my business through Facebook. I paid myself back my $50 from my first customer order, and haven’t looked back – I do not spend money out of my personal finances, HOWEVER lots of people decide to launch with inventory. I didn’t have that option, so I have used my profits to build up stock and testers.
I’ve also seen a few cases where even the $55 was a stretch, or the new teammate really didn’t think they could pull it off. In those instances, I have a great solution for you.
Have a Party!
Don’t worry, I will help you. This can be as easy as us setting up a customer group for you on Facebook, or having your girlfriends over for a little wine & cheese. You don’t have to be signed up yet to start sharing the product with your customers!
Worried your people won’t be excited and your order won’t be big enough? I will take all of the risk out of it for you. If your party doesn’t get where it needs to be to pay for your first order and your sign up fee, I will place the order for you – no problem. Side note – I’ve never had that happen 😉
Collect Orders & Payments
You will collect orders through your party, and take payment from your customers however you choose. Most women choose to set up a Square account so they can take credit cards. Your order amount will need to reach about $400 in payments to cover an order big enough for the 50% discount, your sign up fee, tax & shipping. Anything over that amount is your profit, or you can buy yourself products or supplies.
Place Your Order
Using the money your customers gave you, you will sign up, pay your distributor fee of $55 plus tax and shipping and then place your very first order – using your customer’s funds! This way you don’t have to come out of pocket. The order will be shipped to you and you will deliver them to your customers (free) or you need to plan a little bit for postage and some cheap bubble mailers.
